TALENT SHOW: It’s true that my first “realization” of wanting to be an emcee started in high school, where I served as the announcer for the boy’s basketball team, but the first time I actually held a microphone in my hand and made an announcement to a group of people was way back in 2nd grade. I remember wanting to impress my elementary school crush (Heather White), but since I had no real talent, I opted to serve as the show’s emcee and introduce each of the acts instead. Unfortunately, my first foray into event hosting flopped and I never did get Heather’s attention.
